Unlucky Steve Cantwell off Saturday's UFC 120 card

Since Steve Cantwell is in England for UFC 120, he might want to head over to Ireland to try to find a four-leaf clover, a leprechaun or a shillelagh. The unlucky fighter was forced off of UFC 120 with a knee injury. With it being too late to find a replacement for the bout with Stanislav Nedkov, the fight was canceled. Both Cantwell and Nedkov will receive their show money.

Cantwell was supposed to fight Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 108, but was pulled at the last minute because of an undisclosed medical issue. At the time, UFC president Dana White said that the medical problem could prevent Cantwell from ever fighting again.

This would have been Cantwell's first fight in more than a year. He dropped a decision to Brian Stann in his last fight at Ultimate Fight Night 19. The former WEC champ lost to Luis Arthurt Cane before that.

This is a tough break for Nedkov, as well. He was scheduled to fight Rodney Wallace at UFC 117, but was forced off the card by injury. Now, both fighters must wait to see when their bout will be rescheduled.
